Architecture is an overarching art intended to last… Unlike fashion or design that span on shorter cycles, architectural realization must be consistent with its time through projects that resist to manners and fleeting trends. In this approach, we call for a contemporary architecture that uses present-day techniques and materials, all the while considering the past experiences and achievements – particularly those of the Modern Movement – as the groundwork of our architectural approach. It is for us to pursue the progression of the long History of Architecture, while taking on account its past evolutions. This quest for a contemporary architecture, underlying all our projects, translates into the attempt to avoid the fashionable. One of the goals of our work is to achieve a kind of state of clarity capable of triggering emotion. This quest for simplicity is the outcome of a long and rigorous work over the project, in which every element is to become essential in forming a single whole. In this unity, they must have a distinct place and function while being reciprocally related. Our projects are always contextual, unique, rooted in the particular environment, client's program, function and practices proper to the place, etc.

While being a trigger of emotion, every project must be above all a success in terms of usage, lifestyle and pleasure… The spatiality, the light revealing it, the use of materials are all key elements in our design process. The sought after feelings and emotions often come through the search of counterweights and oppositions: transparency vs. opacity, heavy vs. light, smooth vs. rough, high vs. low, dispersed vs. condensed. We see Architecture somewhat similar to watercolor painting, where the appropriate control of the substance makes the self-expression of the light possible…
